Detailed introduction of Viton fluororubber
DuPont Viton fluoro rubber

The advantages of fluororubber are self-extinguishing from fire, excellent air tightness, ozone resistance, weather resistance, and aging resistance. Viton products made by vulcanization with organic peroxides have superior performance.
Seals made from DuPont Viton series elastomers. Includes general grade A-type (fluorine content 66%), B-type (fluorine content 67-68.5%), F-type GF-type (fluorine content 70%), GLT GFLT (low temperature rating), Viton ETP (better chemical resistance), Viton TFE/P (better acid and alkali resistance).

Application range
Seal made of fluoro rubber, used for sealing of automotive aircraft engines, can be used for a long time at 250 degrees, suitable for engine power output spindle sealing, also for engine stem seal, cylinder liner seal, clutch seal, air filter Cleaner seal, fuel pump seal, etc.

Fluororubber seals are the only ones that can be used in high vacuum environments. Other types of rubber cannot be sealed at 1.33*10-7pa. Therefore, fluororubber is widely used in the field of aerospace.

Fluororubber can be used for inorganic acid medium sealing. It can be used for a long time in nitric acid at 90 °C concentrated hydrochloric acid below 90 °C. It can be used for aqua regia.

In the semiconductor industry, it can be used in media such as silicon tetrachloride, gallium arsenide or phosphorus oxychloride.

Viton GLT has a wider operating temperature range and excellent resistance to HTS mineral oil corrosion and is commonly used in the aerospace industry.

Viton ETP has a wider range of chemical resistance and is commonly used in chemicals.
