Description
Custom Aramid Endless Loop Rope
IKSONIC aramid endless loop rope is a braided cord formed into a closed loop, with the finished size specified for the intended assembly. The continuous loop form is different from an open cut length of rope: selection depends on both the rope section and the complete path the loop must follow. This product is offered by custom specification enquiry rather than a fixed catalogue of diameters and lengths.
The photographs show examples of yellow braided loops in different configurations. They illustrate the rope form and surface detail, not a mixed-size kit or a guaranteed dimension. Define each required loop separately when requesting a quotation, particularly when an assembly uses several similar-looking sizes.
Product specification
| Item | Specification |
|---|---|
| Product form | Endless, closed-loop braided rope |
| Fiber material | Aramid |
| Ordering option | Custom specification enquiry |
| Rope section | Specify the required diameter or section dimensions and acceptance tolerance |
| Finished loop size | Specify the required circumference and measurement method |
| Construction details | Braid and loop-closure requirements to be agreed for the requested configuration |
| Quantity and packing | State the quantity for each size and any separate identification or packing requirements |
Define the loop size clearly
A rope diameter and a loop circumference describe different features. The rope section determines the space occupied by the cord itself; the finished circumference describes the path around the complete loop. A loop photographed as a circle can also be laid out as an elongated shape, so the apparent width or length of a photograph is not a product dimension.
For a new design, identify whether the required circumference is measured along the rope centerline or by another defined method. If your drawing instead specifies a laid-flat length, inside opening or installed path, label that dimension explicitly. These descriptions should not be substituted for one another without an agreed measurement method.
For replacement enquiries, record the original part reference and the condition in which it was measured. A relaxed loop, a stretched loop and a loop fitted around guides may give different readings. Supply the measurement condition with the dimensions so the requested size can be reviewed consistently. Where the original rope section is flattened or worn, a drawing or retained unused sample is more informative than a photograph alone.
Custom enquiry checklist
| Information to provide | Details to include |
|---|---|
| Drawing or part reference | Part name, drawing revision and a sketch showing the required loop form |
| Rope section | Nominal diameter or section, permitted variation and the method used to measure it |
| Loop dimensions | Finished circumference or clearly labelled alternative dimensions, with measurement conditions |
| Installation geometry | Available clearance, guide or contact-surface shape, and any restriction on local section changes |
| Construction requirements | Required aramid grade, braid characteristics, surface finish and loop-closure details where these are controlled by your design |
| Operating conditions | Describe the environment, contact materials and expected movement for configuration review |
| Acceptance requirements | Dimensional checks, sample approval or documentation required before an order is confirmed |
| Order breakdown | Quantity per configuration, identification requirements and requested packing arrangement |
Review the complete configuration
For a loop that passes through a restricted opening or around a guide, the finished circumference is only part of the fit assessment. Include the available space for the rope section and identify any area where a change in thickness would interfere with the assembly. The term endless describes the closed-loop form; any specific requirement for the internal construction or closure should be included in the enquiry.
Keep different loop sizes under separate part references even when their appearance is similar. This makes it easier to agree dimensions, review samples and identify repeat orders. If the existing design controls the aramid grade or braid structure, include that specification rather than selecting by colour or photograph alone.
Request a custom loop quotation
Send your loop dimensions, section requirements, drawing or sample reference and quantity to contact IKSONIC. The custom specification enquiry option allows the requested configuration to be reviewed before the order details are confirmed. Each quoted configuration should identify the agreed dimensions, construction and quantity.
